EFI Problems
I have a 4.9 EFI in a 91 F150. Almost every time lately I turn the key I get a buzzing/clicking, it is not normal fuel pump buzz, and it from under the hood (the relays click, and some thing on the aft driverside of the valve cover buzz), and the engine wont start (it will turn over though). sometimes It will last a few seconds, and some times it will last up to 5min (If I turn it off and back on it still happens). Once it quites buzzing/clicking it will start right up like nothing happened. Only a few times has it happened when cold and already running, today was the only time it happened when warm, but it kills it right away. On ocasion I have seen my volt meter drop, and my tach jump up to about 1k rpm (when the engine is not running). The only thing I can think of is wireing (loose, exposed, grounding out or 2 exposed wires hitting). If anyone has ever ran into this befor or anything like it Please let me know what is is.
