I have a 2002 X limited with rear entertainment center DVD. It has a headphone(hardwired only) jack set and control in the rear of the front center console. The DVD reader went out on the factory unit. So I bought a DVD out of a 2003 Expedition because it was cheaper than having mine fixed and it has the IR tranmitters for wireless headphones. The harness plugs are different. Does anyone know where I can find either a harness adapter or the plugs to build one and/or the DVD system wiring diagrams for both systems. Or any other suggestions that would be relavent and helpful. I do not want to go to aftermarket DVD so the factory controls on the steering wheel and dash would still work.
No, my 2002 X does not have wireless headphones. The 2003 Expedition DVD player does. I bought the whole DVD overhead console with the IR wireless transmitters for the wireless headphones. I already have the wireless headphone also. The DVD player is the same, but the harness (factory wiring) plugs are different. So I need a way(adaptor plug) or a wiring diagram in order to use the Expedition DVD in my X.
