Yesterday I started the truck after sitting for a day. The day before it had been started long enough to back down the driveway, and then move back up. ( Cutting the grass and needed to move it ) about an hour inbetween each event. Anyway when I started it yesterday it blew a big puff of smoke, I noticed due to wind direction movinh it past the passenger sdie window. Appeared to be white. It was 65+ degress so cold was not the issue, and I stopped seeeing it after 10 to 20 seconds.

The truck has just over 6K on the odo and is completely stock. Anyone else have this issue?

I also have that issue, sometimes with a rough idle for a little while. No luck on replies, though...

I've owned many Fords, 00 Mustang GT 4.6, 03 E250 5.4, 03 Explorer 4.6, 04 F150 5.4, 97 Thunderbird 4.6, and they all have done the same only when the engine has been started and stopped for about less than a minute or so. I would not be alarmed, I think that is a normal characteristic of these modular engines. Hope this helps out!

White smoke on startup is condensation build up due to temperature changes. I would only be concerned if it constantly bLows white smoke even after warmed up. This could indicate a coolant leak into the combustion chamber!
