Could this be ball joints?

I have a pretty bad shimmy in the right front. The left ball joint is noticebly bad. The right one seems to be o.k. although there is 145K on the truck. Could the right one be bad as well, but just not be as obvious?

I''ve lifted the truck and shook the wheels. I can see play in the left, but little to none in the right.

Thoughts?

Possibly the shimmy could be coming from the ball joints going bad. I was always told if you replace one side, you should do the other too. Also with 145k, probably wouldn't hurt to do the other side. They are not really hard to do if you have a torch. Heat works wonders!!!

Could be a hub/bearing assembly or a tie rod end also.
