Priming

So I tried my first priming job on the tailgate of my 91 today and it went ok. One thing I noticed, is that the primer kind of ... made flakes on half of the tailgate, anyone know what could have caused that? I will take a picture tomorrow to show you all what I mean. Its like it left bumps of primer on half of that tailgate. Im sure I had the gun and air set properly too.

IMO either not clean enuf during prep, or dry overspray. wetsanding the primer should help.

I definatly had it clean enough, I think lol. Im guessing overspray, and thanks for the advice to wetsand, I will try that.
