Need help with vin #
I am looking to buy an 1988 or 1989 f-350. I went by my local ford dealer with the vin number and he said their books didnt go back that far. Can someone here help me out? I need to know if it has a 6.9l or 7.3l diesel with or without turbo. The guy said it was a 1988 but I think the door plate said 12/88 which would make it a 1989. The dealer did tell me that the engine code is the 8th character. If you can let me know what M is in both 1988 and 1989. 1FTJX35M8JKA54553
