My brother has a 98 s10 it has been parked for about a year now cuz it's blown up and he can't afford to fix it.

where did he go wrong.

Actually, that's not suprising. Not only is it a Chevy but it's an S10 on top of that. If you wanted a small truck why not a ranger? or least a toyota?

we had a s10 for five years it was junk but u could hold it up
to 25 mph in first 52 mph in second but thats were the fun ended 65 in third 70 in fourth almost 90 in fifth close to blowing the little 2.2 up it was screaming whining and every thing was shaking we had to turn off the air to make it up almost every hill but
MY 1969 VW beetle 1500cc auto stick the owners book
says first can be used 0-35 normal driving or can be held to 55 second can be used 0to top speed speedo shows 90
