Hey, Glad that you took the job Krewat. Your posts seem like you are a mild tempered even sort of guy that always tries to help a topic along; Not that occasionally I get sidetracked on here.
Good Luck and I hope all this reading doesn't burn you out. One thing the wages paid here sure will help you keep your V-10 tank full :-).

I've had experience herding people on bulletin boards, I ran a 3-line dialin setup for about 5 years back in the early 90's. Before that I wrote (after pirating) a bulletin board type system on DEC PDP-10's in my high school days. That's pre-1983.

Even tempered? I guess

congrats art. a big healty set of rasberrys to you. and a ex moderators word .watch out for the smoker lovers in super duty. that can be a hard area.

Nope! DEC got away from punch cards pretty early. It was IBM that wouldn't give up the ghost, going so far as to keep the 80-column punch card data format for terminals (3270), etc.
