Got my replacement truck a week ago. I got the manual transmission instead of the automatic. Sure glad I did. Also got 4.10 gears. Sure makes towing better. Fuel economy on the first tank of fuel according to the lie o meter was 18.2 MPG, hand figured it was 16.9 MPG. I was impressed with that. Took the boat to the river yesterday and got 14.8 MPG (lots of steep grades). The best my 04 ever got was 13 MPG.
This truck seems to be much better put together than the ones I have had previously. The cab is much tighter. Can['t say I like the interior as well as the 04 interior, but the boost guage is a nice add. The turning radius is also a bonus. The motor seems to have a different cluck to it than the other two 6.0's I have owned. Can't put my finger on what the difference is but I notice it more when the motor is under a light load. Anyway this truck is a large improvement over the 03 or 04.
