Unless the distributor has been messed with, it shouldn't require any timing adjustments. But, if it does, you have to pull the little SPOUT connector (it takes the computer advance out of the loop, it's a gray or black jumper connector near the ECM and firewall), loosen the distributor hold-down bolt, hook up a timing light, and twist away on the dizzy. Timing for these motors is 10*BTDC from the factory.
