BeltMinder Feature

I have a 2006 F350 and I cannot disable the Beltminder feature. I am following the instructions in the owner’s manual but with no luck. After step 5 the safety belt warning light should go on for 3 seconds but that never happens.

In one post I read the person said the instructions for the 2006 in the owner's book were not correct but he did not say what the correct procedure would be. Any help would be appreciated.

When I did mine it did not work as the manual states. I just kept click and unclick until the light on the dash flickers the 3 times. I can't remember how many times it took, but I think it was around 7.

Yep, on my 05 F250, one step called for the belt to be buckled and unbuckled 9 times (I think it was 9) but 10 did the trick for mine.

Donjamer & Texascad -

Well, with your help I figured it out and the book is wrong.

The book says –

buckle and unbuckle 3 times
turn on lights – turn off lights
buckle and unbuckle 3 times

This is what works for my 2006 F350 –

Buckle and unbuckle 9 times and forget about the lights.

This is what Texascad said works on his 2005 F250. Maybe they changed the book for 2006 but forgot to change the computer? If so, it seems more people would be having this problem than just donjamer and myself.

I hope my truck is put together better than the owner’s manual.

Thanks for your help

I am not sure I would do that. Here is another thread that has some worth while comments <a href="https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-487353-Seat%20Belt%20Buzzer">Seat Belt Buzzer</a>

Well, I disabled mine by setting the parking brake, 9 times in and out with the seatbelt, starting with it unbuckled, wait for the seatbelt marker on the dash to flash, then one more time. Disabled. Good To Go

were two of the plugs grey in color? 1 round,1 square and the other yellow?
I have these on my 2002 F-350 Lariat and I didn't get the buzzer to go off
I tried what all the others did, 3 times and 3 times, no luck!
