Emergency brake light/dinging

So I bought an 01 F-350 CC, SB, 4x4 a few months back. The guy before me had an Edge Evolution in it. Lately while driving around town I have noticed that the emergency brake light will come on and start dinging. Not sure what could cause this. Any ideas?

I would start by inspecting the energency brake control switch. It may be broken or out of adjustment. Low fluid in the master cylinder reservoir will also set off the alarm.
