Baja Claws?

Anyone run Mickey Thompson Baja Claws on their Super Duty? I ordered some Dick Cepeck Fun Country II's but the company shipped me the Baja Claws. If you have run them are they any louder than BFG m/t? How do they wear?

As far as Wearing out...you'll be better off w/ the Dick Cepeks.....but what size are you running ? I know the Claws only go up to 39.5's and the Dick's....35's the biggest i've seen.....a rare tire to see. The Claws will be louder too....also depends on the width....if they are just the claws, the belted claws, or radials. few different tread patters. I like the Steel Belted x claw pattern the best. I've seen a couple SD's w/ claws and it doesn't look good on it unless they are big....just a wierd tire is some ways if it's too small.

I am putting on a 4" Superlift next week. The tires are the Radial Baja Claw and the size is 315/75R16, or 35 x 12.50. I have 305/70/R16, 33 x 12.50 BFG mud terrains on the truck now. The tire looks really good, im just worried about the life of the tire and the noise. My BFG's have gone 2 1/2yrs and about 20,000 miles and have gotten really loud as time has gone on. I know the Claw will be louder than the Fun countries but will they be louder than the BFGs I have now?

I have seen a few SD's with Claw type tires and like the look.

I know for a fact the BFG M/T's are very loud as I have had those in 33's and 35's in the past. The Claws will wear out much quicker and be loud as well. BFG's do get louder as they wear in cuz of the hardened rubber, the Claws will be a bit softer cuz they are newer and will have a good hum to them.

MadMedic20 - I ran a set of radial claws on mine and were not impressed with them either on or off road. They wore out in 20,000 miles and got chopped up after 10,000. They were way louder than my BFG MT's which are wearing great compared to the claws. I also have the DC FC II's (won them in a contest) on the truck now and am not real impressed with them either. Great on the road, but lacking off road. Personally I am leaning towards either Toyo's or Nitto's for the next tires on the SD.
