How the heck do you fit a 7.3 diesel into a 67 F-250? Trying to mount the thing is giving me fits, but I think it will be cool if I can figure it out. Has anyone done this? I have it sitting so everything clears, exhaust, starter, etc. but I dont see a good way to nail it down. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks!
John, After measuring several ways, you still feel that it will work, I would pull the front clip and start the engine/tranny fit. That way you have more freedom to work, and with a bud you could keep check on the sheet metal fit. Have fun.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
Get all of the mounting parts and hardware from the truck that the engine came from (or a similar truck). Including the mounts that bolt to the frame. Try to adapt them to your truck frame. It will probably take some cutting grinding and welding. I don't know if this will work or not but it's what I would try first. Sounds like a cool swap. Good luck!
The main trouble I am having is the motor mounts from the diesel do not match the 67 whatsoever. If I could get some mounts that would bolt up to the 67, it would be no problem, but the drivers side mount is 5 inches from the crossmember and I'm having trouble trying to find a way to make a bracket to fit between the engine and frame without getting in the way of the steering box. Thanks for the suggestions,
