Question for you guys...My buddy and I both own 99 V-10 F250 Super Duties. His is a XLT Lariat with the off road package, mine is a plain ol' XLT. We both have the towing package. My question to you is...why does his have so much more power? Both trucks are running top notch. Does it have something to do with him having the off road package? And if it has something to do with the computers, can I put in a different computer from a truck with the offroad package? Thanks for the help.
What transmission and rear-end gears does each truck have?
yep, that is probably the difference. for instance if his has a 4.30 rear end and you have a 3.73, than his truck would seam to be quite a bit more powerfull.

And vice versa, with the 3.73 gears in your truck, you should be seeing better fuel economy in yours, if your truck is equipped with 3.73 gears, and his has 4.10s
Thanks, I'm not sure what gears we have, but they are both automatics. But you guys have been spot on before with your answers. So that is good enough for me. So there isn't a difference in the computers or anything like that? Just the suspension on a Off-road packaged truck?
no, no difference with the comps, all the off road package has is some cheesy shocks and some skid plats and the fx4 sticker on the rear. it doesn't make you go faster or anything.

My shocks aren't CHEESY, and that FX4 sticker adds at LEAST one horsepower to my truck
