custom gauge panel

hello i want to put autometer golden oldies guages in my 59 but this would require building a guage panel as the new gaugeswould not fit. just looking at the factory panel it looks like this would be fairly easy has anyone done this what tips could you give me. what problems could i expect from the acutall gauges and such any tips would help

Check out my gallery. I used autometer/autoguages. They fit the holes okay, the faces aren't a great match but i love how they work and look.

Look at the online catalog for J & B Microfinish. They make an insert to fit in your stock panel. They offer them in either 5 hole or 6 hole and also in polished or satin finished. These guys have made parts for Ridler Award winners.
