Ok, my daughter lost the thumb screw that ties the jack down behind the jump seat in my 1998 super cab ranger.
Does anyone know what the size of the threads are for that built in nut?
For some reason that screw is easy to lose. When I lost mine on my previous truck I just wrapped the jack and handle and secured them with a tie-down cord. The bone yard was just too much trouble for a pesky little bolt. For all the remaining time I had that truck I never accessed the jack again.

Thanks guys, I thought about going to a bone yard but thought I might just buy a plain thumb screw from a hardware store close by. I bought a couple but they did not fit. I am now assuming it is a metric size.
Wish I would've known about this around 6 months ago. When I put the box in for my subs, I tossed that screw and relocated my jack. I also threw out those little trays in the back. I understand that metric sizes are easier, but I always expect to see SAE sizes on my truck.
I stopped caring about the whole standard/metric debate. I just wish they'd be constant throughout the vehicle. I find most of the truck parts are standard (made in USA) and most of the engine parts are metric (Cologne family-Germany).
