Donor vehicle suggestions
I'll soon be looking for a 351 and AOD to swap into my '77 F150 to replace the tired old 302/c4. I will also be swapping out the 2.75 gears in my 9" for 3.25 or maybe 3.50's This will be carbed, but I'm fine with retro-ing an EFI motor, and might even prefer that. I'd like to try and get as much as I can from a single donor vehicle.

well that combo was never offered in a truck. but that is ok. the motor you can grab from 85-97 in bronco,f150,f250,f350. the tranny would be available in most any 80's car and bronco/f150's. the only car i know of that came with that combo was an 80 crownvictoria so if you find one of them you would have a 1 stop shop for everything.

cool thanks. I'd like to go with a serpentine belt setup on this as well (I just think it looks better), so getting the most from a single vehicle seems best instead of having to piece things together from the JY.
