when closed, the drivers side door of my '71 F-100 looks like it needs to be raised 1/8", and the front of the door looks like it's 1/8" too deep compared to the fender. Are there any tricks to holding the door in the right position while loosening and tightening bolts? This isn't the original door and was replaced prior to my ownership, so I really don't know the fuul story as to why it was removed in the first place. I hate body work so I'd really appreciate any usable advice. Thanks!!
Yes, My trick when doing this alone ,is to take a floor jack and place a 2' 2"x4" on it,then lift evenly along the whole door rather than having a swivel(fulcrum) spot.
