was looking at some fabtech shackle lift brackets for the rear of the front springs that drop them down without using lift shackles. Has anyone used these or had any experience with them?
thanks
I have them. They were on the truck when I bought it. Overall I like them, but the kit doesn't include a dropped pitman arm or extended sway bar mounts. Without extended mounts the botom bolt of sway bar mount will hang up on the spring on certain tight turns, making an anoying twang when it finally does slip past, kind of like plucking a giant guitar string. The pitman arm will eliminate bump steer.
On 99-04 250's, the front will sit a little bit high. my front springs sagged out after a few serious jeep trails, so it's a little closer to even now.
Do you have a new SD, or are you talking about putting these on one of the older ones? My experience probably doesn't apply to the older ones.
