Now, On the 67 1 ton did the front axle stay the same as the 1960 or did they change to the twin I beam?
Or, What Year did the twin I beam start?

In 1967 the F-350 started using the twin-i-beam front suspension. 61-66 F-350 axles should fit your 1960 but it will still have 6 bolt wheels. You could try using a F-250 front axle. It should be as strong as the F-350 one. On the 48-52 the halftons and the ton trucks used the same front axle.
