Pcm?

What does the 'powertrain control module' do? If it matters, its on a '86 F-150 5.0 EFI.

dont think you have one. are you maybe asking about the ECU (computer)

PCM = ECU = engine computer. It determines fuel and spark requirements at all engine operating conditions.

I think it was in Chiltons that said the control module (distributor mounted on mine) connected to the PCM or Powertrain control module. I never heard of that.
