I`m looking at a 1969 camper special. It has a 360 in it with 125,000 miles.New brakes, new exhaust and headers. No rust and no bangs or dents. It does have a rear engine seal leak that needs replacing.Anyone with a ballpark value would be very helpful.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 17-Jun-02 AT 09:55 PM (EST)]New tires alone can cost $500 for 10-plys; do your's still have lots of life?
Any cool features such as dual tanks, passanger-side tool box, overload springs, front disks, power steering, sliding rear window, trailer hitch? Does it have "On-Star"
Yesterday a bought a 72 F250 Ranger XLT Camper Special (3/4 ton - perhaps that's obvious by the model?). Paid $1800, which (after looking around a lot) I think was a pretty good deal. The seller already had (this year) $1200 in for a top-end rebuild and $400 for some other work including a rear seal. Has ~150K miles, class-C trailer, passenger-side tool box, front discs, power steering, excellent tires. Body is in great shape. A few minor dings and some surface rust on one door, plus some cancer on one inner panel in the bed, but nothing I'm worried about.
