My 1996 F250 stroker will continue to run with no key in the ignition for about a minute... I havent done anything to the truck, what could possible be the problem..
did you but the truck used? if so, has it always done this? maybe the previous owner put a turbo saver on it that times a shutdown after the igntion is shut off... just a wild guess
i have a 62 chevy that the key can be removed from while running made that way. now a 96 psd on the other hand. i have no clue this is only the 2nd time i have ever heard of it. let me check the other place cause thats where i saw it 2 months or so ago and get back to you. i dont even want to guess.
well i checked 900 posts here and there. i cant find it. it has happened to someone and i cant remember what the outcome was. i wanna say stuck ipr or idm was bad but dont quote me. i hope someone knows or the person it happened to comes along.

Yes I bought this truck used.. I have had it for a little over a year and it just started this yesterday.. you go to shut the truck off... turn the key, all power inside the truck shuts down like normal (dash, radio, etc.) pull the key out put it in my pocket and the truck continues to run for about 60 seconds..
