Starter wont disengauge
i have a 1988 f150,auto w/302. replaced starter relay underhood last week. when i tried to start truck this morning (usually takes a couple of tries to crank) it didnt start right away so i turned the key off but truck was still trying to crank. had to pull batt cable to shut off. replaced relay no help. even with the "s" wire off of the relay if i try to put batt cable on truck tries to start. anyone had this problem before and how did you fix. thanks

update: pulled wire off relay that goes to starter and gave relay a couple of taps with a screwdriver. then connected evetything but the small wire that goes to ingnition. turned key nothing. connecected small wire and turned key samething. removed small wire from relay truck was still trying to crank. had to remove batt cable again. is it ignition switch problems or could the new relay i just bought 2 hrs ago be bad also.
