'60 Custom Cab windshield trim removal

What is the procedure to remove the stainless trim on a '60 Custom Cab F100? Rubber seal is shot so that is no problem. I cannot figure out how to get the trim to relaese from the rubber without damage to the trim. Did a search without luck.

It should just pop right out, as friction is the only thing that I know of that holds it in place.

you have to remove the rubber from the glass first as the trim has an L shape that is pinched by the window. the trim comes off after you remove the window from the truck.

Thanks. I was afraid that it was after the removal of the window. Guess it will be a delicate job of slicing the rubber to avoid the trim.

I found the easiest way is to slice the rubber from inside the cab. Less rubber to slice and then you can push out the window easier.

Ahhhh, the next project now to try to salvage the "old" good windshield as a new glass is $239 installed with a seal for $75.
