love the truck, however, i have noticed that when i park it in the driveway, there is a small spot of oil. i have looked at it while it is running and i dont see anything dripping out while running. and it doesnt drip right after it shuts off, it takes a while. when i crawl under the truck i can see a drop of oil on the oil drain plug. any ideas? i have seen some oil on the undercarriage, but i cant see where it is coming from.

Tried changing the plug out and the washer out too? Before using dye, it might be best to clean out the entire undercarriage and all the engine with some good cleaner so you can see where it starts from and have an idea.
Its a good possibility that it is coming from the intake boots. A loose or faulty clamp will allow this small seepage, especially after use. The crankcase is a closed system and can and does blow oil into the intake, turbo, etc. Try tightening the clamps and checking the boots for cracks and holes. The runaway oil will work its way to the back of the block and down on to the oil pan. Also, I had to replace the rear main seal first rattle out of the bag when I bought my 01 Ex (w/ 7.3).
When my SD stands for a few weeks it has a few drips of oil under it. I think it is coming from the rear main bearing oil seal. After I drive it the drip does not happen again until it stands for a few weeks. To me that would seem like the seal shrinks when it stands but I'm not sure.
