Fellow FTE Members : Am I correct in assuming that 53 thru 56 hoods will interchange. I realize that the 56 requires different hinge's but that's because of windshield - body difference. After looking for better hood for 53, I found a 56 hood. In a dream last night ,something told me maybe there some difference I wasn't awere of. I plan on using a tilt kit by NO LIMIT. I'm tired of fighting with hinges that eat paint.

The hoods will interchange. The 56 hinge is different only because they changed the bolts to a larger dia shoulder. The 56 hood also has a small brace at the back which they attached with two small bolts. Mine was spot welded also, I just removed the bolts and welded the holes.
