Alternator problems

Whats up guys,
My brother was having problems with his bronco hesitating in third gear the other day so he took it to the shop. They replaced the plug wires, plugs, rotor, cap, and fuel filter. He gets it back and it doesnt hesitate but now the voltage is registering at bout 9 volts at idle. He took the alternator off and took it to pep boys to get tested and it registered as fine pushing 14 amps. You guys got any suggestions. I would think it would have been caused by somthin with the plugs, wires, and cap since it happened right after. The truck is an 88 302 efi. Thanks

Check for loose plugs or grounds. Also, you should check it with a voltmeter at the battery to make sure the dash guage isnt giveing you false info.
