Radio Wire Help Please!
I am in the process of installing a new radio/CD in "ole Betsy". I found that the wires running to the speakers on the left & the right front door panels are the same color codes - Purple & Orange. Purple looks to the be positive orange to be the negative but I am unsure of that.
Here's my question - when I get up to the radio I have 2 Purples, 1 Orange, and 1 White wire. I traced the wires as far as I could see without doing major surgery...got tired...quit for the day. The speakers in the front doors had rotted - cloth deteriorated & the magnets rusted/corrosion everywhere.
Purple - Left Positive (Drivers Side Front Door)
Orange- Left Negative (Drivers Side Front Door)
Purple - Right Positive (Pass Side Front Door)
White -Right Negative (Pass Side Front Door)
Please any advise is accepted! Thanks folks.

FWIW I would use an ohm meter to test for continuity, make certian you don't have any short circuits. But that's me, always up for some pain. LOL
The radio in Ol Fo d quit working and I'd like to hear some tunes whenever I drive it.
(the R is missing off the hood , thus Fo d instead of Ford)
I only have the dash speaker tho , so it should be easier for me (yeah , right!)
