Unhappy First Problems with Truck!

I've had my 99 F-250 SD with a V-10 now for a couple of months. I decided to replace the rear brakes since one side had uneven wear on the pads, and both sides could use new ones. I found no obvious reason for the wear pattern, so I went ahead and replaced them with ceramic pads.
I noticed my spare wasn't tightened up against the X-member, so I decided to let it down and check the air. Putting it back up, I discovered the socket in the doohickey, where the jack handle fits was broken. Now I need to replace that.
I ran it thru the car wash, since it sat for a week while we were on vacation, and it was filthy. Now comes the real issue: shortly afterwards, I started getting a miss! I went home, and plugged the OBD tester into it, and it showed P0300, and P0306 (#6) as the culprit. How I got so lucky that it is about the easiest one to get to is beyond me. I pulled the plug, and it looked fine. .050 gap, normal looking plug. I could see into the cylinder, and it was wet looking, so I figure the COP has taken a dump. It is original, with the Motorcraft sticker still on it. The boot looked like new, too. I couldn't find an old spark plug in the garage to test the COP, so I'll just pick up a new COP and boot today and change it.
Oh- the plug was an AutoLite Double Platinum APP-103. I guess that is the correct plug. I torqued it to 120 in/lbs as Ford spec is 9-14 ft/lb per my book.
So far, I love my truck, but I might feel differently when I change the plugs, especially #5!

#5 isn't all that bad

It takes some "faith" to replace it though, I couldn't even see the hole to get the socket in it.

I did use an inspection mirror to check it (and all the other holes) out, I would suggest getting one (the type on a long handle, where you turn a wheel on the handle to angle the mirror - better yet, get one with a light built-in).

Blind luck would have it that #6 went first, because it's the closest to the water

I guess I need to change my user name to reflect my original intention. I am a steel detailer, and wouldn't know much about detailing cars, other than take it to the carwash!

I take the architect's and structural engineer's drawings (blueprints) and make a set of "blueprints" that show (detail) every individual piece of steel (beams, channels, angles, etc.) that are required to build a building's steel framework from the ground up. I show every hole, weld, and added pieces of material so the fabricating shop can make what is required. Then I show a "map" of where each piece goes, with any instructions necessary, so the people putting up the building know where each piece goes. I do buildings from 1 to 40 stories tall.
