Holy Smokes!!!(no pun intended). Really was close to your house, scary, the truck burning would have been the least of my worries. I hope you get a new ride soon. Any pics of what it looked like before? Just to compare the damage, my dad lives in Alabama and I have seen cars on the road there close to that condition.
Boy, that suxz, sorry, That was pretty close to the house! Count your blessings it could have been worse. Hey, didn't they recall the cruise control switch for starting fires like this??
Yep, they sure did. I called the Ford last month to see about getting it fixed and they told me that they were giving priority to the newer vehicles and that it would be 2 months before they could get to mine. I'm glad it didn't burn the house down. If the fire department had been just a few minutes later it would've been really bad. All that was in abou 6 minutes worth of burning. That's how fast it went up in smoke.
Yea I bet,,, at least your not sitting in the driveway next to where the house used to be. you got lucky there! hollar when you get the new Bronco lol cause I know you will !
yea I can find parts and stuff for really old ones but for the 79 I have it seems everyone that has stuff I want for it live in canada or california or ar least a thousand miles away.
? you a railroader?
reason I asked my Dad was and my brother is.
Well, 73-79 pickups are all over the place around here but Broncos of any kind are hard to find. And I am a railroader. I'm a conductor for CSX. I run from Montgomery to Mobile/Pensacola. It's a fun job and I really enjoy it.
that would be a good run. My brother is an engineer on the cm&w I think thats what it is now way back in the day when my Dad worked there it was the gm&o it changes about every year seems like. well sorry to get off topic here . good luck on the bronco search.
