Need help with this one.
I just installed a offy DP intake andEFI exhuast manifolds on my 65 f100 240cid.
It has a 390 holley with a heated spacer. Rebuilt carb and i have the air fuel mixture screws at 1.5 turns out.
The problem i have is that i started it today and i an getting blowby from the oil filler cap. It did not smoke at all when i hade the original 1 barrell set up on it. It starts to smoke as soon as i start it up. I have only ran the engine for about 5 min with this new set up on it.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Wes
Check for vacuum leaks and make sure the PCV valve is hooked up and functioning properly. You also may need a new oil filler cap if the stock one doesn't seal properly due to a bad gasket [which = a big vacuum leak]. Get an OEM type sealed cap, the aftermarket "breather" style oil caps work, but the filter media they contain isn't restrictive enough and can allow lots of junk to get sucked down into the engine.
