This one should be simple, I'm just looking for a double check.
The vehicle is my uncles 1985 Bronco (XLT I believe). He bought it new in 85. It has just shy of 270K on the 302, with a rebuild at 110ish. He's a doctor, with no urge to ever replace his old bronco for some flashy new toy.
Hooking up a Fluke shows it isn't charging proper. The alternator has not been replaced in some time (since the rebuild), so I'm guessing it's lost it's gusto. We just wanted to check if the voltage regulator was internal or not (ie, are we missing something that could be tricking us).
If I am recalling correctly the voltage regulator should be internal on an '85 model. The last externally regulated alternator that shows up in my info. is an '83 model.
