shifting = HARD!

shifting = HARD!

I used a superchip to reprogram my shifting points and rev limiter. The problem is when i give it a little gas, when the truck shifts from 1st to 2nd it JERKS HARD. it feels like you would have dropped the clutch if i had a manual. what can i do to fix this?

Have you given your truck enough time to "relearn" its shifting. If I remember correctly it takes 5-6 cold starts for the computer/transmission learn the new shifting program.

i have put over 8,000 miles on it since i superchipped it. It has been doing it since day 1.

Okay, on that vehicle you ought to be able to use the Superchips tuner to soften the shifting on a gear by gear basis. If it were a diesel you'd be out of luck. It should be covered in the user adjustable parameters.
