Red "Engine" light

Red "Engine" light
I have an 89 f-150 with a 4.9. This morning the red "Engine" light started coming and and going back off. It also has an orange "check engine" light that is not coming on. What is the differance between these lights and what would be a good thing to check? Thanks

The amber or orange engine light is the computer's light, it may or may not work. The red engine light indicates a loss of oil pressure (or more likely a bad sending unit), or an overheating condition (again more likely a bad sender).
