Thumbs up My first spark plug change

Yesterday I did my first plug change. I know most of you guys have f-series that have V10's I have a E350 SD. This is the second time the plugs have been changed but my first. The first time we on our way home from a trip and I noticed a skip in the engine. It went to the dealer and the told me it was a coil and it needed plugs. They told me that the coil would be coverd by warranty. So I had them do it. The funny or not so funny thing is when my wife brought the van home she also brought in a brand new spark plug in a box. She found in the van!!! I get on the phone to the dealer and they told me that the mechanic lost a plug and just got another one. To my surprise yesterday when i got to #10 plug it was a old plug that never changed I knew it I asked him repeadly about the extra plug he reassured me it was changed. To top things off things off they installed the wrong plugs But I did the job yesterday and not to bad of a job after all. The right bank was the hardest one so I started with that one. The left bank was a breeze nothing in the way. The funniest thing about the plug they forgot it was one of the easiest to change

Don't you just have loads of confidence having that dealer do some more work for you? NOT!!

Glad it turned out good for you with the plug install, good post.

yep, with dealers, sometimes I think they get the lot boy's involved. We brought our truck home last fall from it's 1st free oil change after buying it, and next morning, both front tires were flat!
seems they loosened the valve stems to reduce the air pressure and did not snug them back up.. I too have lost confidence in my dealer.

Sounds like someone wanted you to buy two new tires. Fishy.

That's REALLY weird... why would they loosen them up to reduce the pressure? Just push the pin for a few seconds, it'll go WAY down quick...

maybe that tech. just came from lincoln tech. here in nj. every one i took on from there stunk and got fired within 2 weeks. the last one i had taken one never changed the oil filters as we found his box full of them. he got some time to think, something like 1 year as one item he stole was worth 750$ that =grand theft.
