351 H. O.

i'm going to rebuild my 351 windsor high output so can i use a master rebuild kit or is there something different that i need

vaccum problem

Iwas just wandering has anyone heard of having a vaccum leak that caused an engine to run hot . any help with this will be greatly appreciated Thanks

High Output?......what makes it a HO?....I'm going to build one too.....just picked up a F250 with a 351W and auto tranny for $300 (beatup work truck) I'm going to rebuild the engine and tranny and swap out my 302 and std.

the only thing that makes it an h.o. is that it came with a 4 barrel carb and dual exaust from the factory it might have a different cam in it as well it was a marketing thing from ford

Actually, the HO is only a 4bbl carb...not dual exhausts. My 87 "was" the same setup. Until I swapped out the holley 4bbl for an edelbrock 1406

Trust me..ditch the holley 4bbl...it was garbage.

It also has a bigger cam, turn your idle down to about 500 rpm and you'll hear it lope a little. Its basically the same cam that the EFI motors got in '88
