Thin Head Gaskets

I need the part number for the thin head gaskets that Fel-Pro makes for the SBF (302 type). My local part monkeys don’t like to look up anything that doesn’t have an actual year, make and model .

the part number i looked up is through summit but your part store should use the same number i call with the numbers all the time from there. its fpp-1011-2. i believe when you call the store though for the number to show up you drop the fpp, so its just the 1011-2 the link to the ones i looked up are http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Thanks bro, but that doesn't look like them. The ones I'm looking for have an extremely small compression thickness and are used to bring compression up a bit. They're basically just a thin copper shims. My local part stores are only good for stock replacement parts and I’ve checked Summit and Jegs but they don’t advertise them. I’m pretty sure they could get them though. I’ll just have to call. I was just hoping somebody had the part number handy.

The 1011-1 gaskets are a tad bit thicker, but I think they have a stainless steel firing ring...might want to double check on that though.

I don't know if the ones you want are made by Fel-Pro. Theirs seem to be more on the order of .039" thick.

Basically, thin head gaskets are usually known as "Steel Shim" head gaskets and are around .020" thick. They seem to be pretty hard to find for these engines, but I have a part number from Detroit Gasket/Corteco that may or may not be what you want. DG-20324CS But I'm not even positive these are for 289/302/351W and can't find out any more than this so far.
