I have a 1985 ford 351 windsor with electronic ignition and would like to replace the distributor with a 1969 regular point distributor. I was told that this switch would work but I don’t trust the source of the information. If anyone knows for sure I would very much appreciate the information.
You can even get a reman from an auto parts cheap, mine works fine. Eltronic ignition is the best thing to come out on cars. No cleaning or adjusting points every year. Or condesors going out. Ya can't beat it.
You can go with a non-electronic dist. and coil. If the wire supplying the (round) coil is going to be 12V, then make sure you get a coil that drops the voltage. You can add a Pertronix to the distributor later if you want electronic ignition.
