84 bII axles

Can anyone tell me if this truck has c-clips holding the front axles in? The door tag says it is a 44 (axle code). Thanks in advance for any help.

It's a D28 and I'm sorry but I have no other answer for you.

No, absolutely NOT!

The only trouble you will have removing these axles is when the spindle sticks because of rust. If you search on my user name in this forum (try using +spindle +dremel) there is a thread about removing them easily. There are excellent threads from other users about the same procedure.

Once everything is lubed up with anti-seize, removing and replacing a front axle takes me 70 min. start to finish and I am not exactly Mr. Speedy.

Yes the stock D28 front end on BII will have a c-clip holding the inner axle on the passengers side. The outer axles just slide in.
