Was wondering what kind of fuel filter you all prefer to use? I'm using THIS clear glass type with plastic ends that go into the fuel line, but it's bad about leaking. Was thinking about trying something different but didn't know what was best.
I prefer the spin-on water/fuel seperator filtler canister type, they are designed for boats and the filter element is like your oil filter, very easy to replace and the even have dual outlets for an extra carb I mount it on the driver inner fender.
I'm running the same filter as you. Mine has been on for several months and I've had no leaks so far. I haven't had to disassemble to change the element yet so maybe that's why I've been lucky.

Wow! I thought pot metal was cheesey, that's just scary. At this point even an ugly metal cannister is better if it holds fuel.
Materials aside, these use O-rings to seal the ends. One tear and it leaks forever. Any time you take one of these apart, lube the O-rings with something before reassembly. O-rings don't handle shear, that's how they tear.
If you decide to replace the O-rings, specify fuel service.
