voltage regulator wiring
can someone tell me what the I A S F stand for on a regulator i am putting my truck together and have a few questions my harness that goes to the volt reg does not have a wire that goes to the I terminal on the regulator i also have a green wire with a red stripe comming from the s terminal on the reg which i thought would go to the sta on the alternator but goes to the dash somewhere .my wire diagram i have calls for a white wire with a black stripe but there isnt one. i do have gauges not idiot lights i know that makes a difference but if someone could give me the exact colors and where the I A S F wires from reg go and what wires for the alt i would save some hair.... Beer too!
