missing 6.9
can anybody help ? i have a 85 f350 crew cab with a 6.9 . it runs fine at idle and at hwy speeds just in between it acts like it has a miss. it starts blowing a lot of grey smoke out the exaust. i know it gets horrible fuel mileage.

i guess the truck has about 167k miles on it . im pretty sure the injectors are original, i took the cdr out and cleaned it and put it back in. yesterday i cracked each injector line while it was running and each one made a huge difference. im trying to get my hands on a machinical pump from work, it pumps any kind of liquid up to 3000lbs of pressure. im going to have a fitting made up to screw onto the injectors and test them to see when they spray and how they spray. i just hope it works because i need to check the injectors in my boat because it has an isuzu diesel in it and its running like crap to. i also noticed with my truck that when it is idling every now and then it will start smoking and then it will disapear with no sign of smoke. and today i started it up with the motor being cold it was running fine then all of a sudden it reved up like someone patted there foot on the petal real fast, it did it twice then ran fine. sorry about the long thread but i really need help to fix it because im buying me a 32 foot travel trailer and ill need the truck. thanks for any help
