I wasn't really thinking about selling my truck, but a friend happened to tell me about a guy that was looking for a truck. Anyways, he wanted something a lot further along than my truck, but he said that its worth a good 1500 maybe more. I didn't think it would be worth more than a couple hundred dollars, any opinions. Im in Tulsa, OK

Original puke green, all original body (as far as I know)
Man brakes, just converted to PS
The body is pretty straight, only has one pinhole of cancer, and a couple spots of surface rust. Factory overload springs.
The truck runs good, I have put a ton of miles on it.
Just thought I would see what some of you guys thought.
Oh and the taillights have this blue diamond in the center of the lens, anyone know what that is?
Thanks
AW
on th east coast where I am that truck would bring an easy $2000, maybe more. The blue dot is an added on piece that makes the tailights look a little purple when light up for brake lights. They are illegal in most areas but many rodders run them.
I was thinking of putting it on ebay, and keeping the reserve at a safe price for me, atleast to get a little more exposure. That will have to wait though, leaving town for a few days soon.

Why are they tail lights with the blue dot illegal? I just bought some off ebay for the truck I am restoring....hope I do not need to re-sell them.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Jul-02 AT 03:46 AM (EST)]Mainly becuase it isn't a factory thing. The Governement loves to make things that we do to our vehcles Illegal becuase it didn't come that way from the factory. My opinion of course. I think it might be that they light up more a purplish blue color than red. Like stated many hot rodders run them anyway. Most Officers will not pull over a good looking car for something that minor unless they are just A** holes.
I wonder if some of those cops are NASCAR officials? "Uh oh too far from stock. You're getting a fine!"
