Exclamation Steppin' down.

Gents,

I just don't have time to moderate any longer. Heck, I barely have time to go on the internet anymore. Charlie's here on my islands and I haven't even had a chance to call him!

I had plans for many things for this forum, FAQ etc., and I just cannot get to them due to time constraints.

I am stepping down as moderator. No successor has been named as of yet. It's a tad sad because thsi is MY forum. Meaning: I asked for it to come into existance and I've been the Moderator ever since.

Anyway...time marches on.

For those who want to know...I am pursuing my dream of becoming a cop. I am waiting for the next class to open so that I can go. At 38 years old (in June) it feels a bit odd since the average age of a new recruit is 22.

Thankfully our family business provides more than enough $$ and allows me to go after this nagging desire to eventually become a motorcycle cop since there are motorcycle beats on Kailua-Kona that are not filled due to the lack of personel. (BTW, if you ever had the notion to become a cop the Big island is deserate! Hell, they're taking ME! Great way to live in Paradise.

I've taken up a position as an Animal Control Officer (Animal Cop) until the class date. It is odd to be working 40+ hours a week again not to mention working for someone else! Huge adjustment! Especially knowing that I make more in my business in a ONE day than I make in two weeks as a Animal Cop! Life's not about money though...

I'm not gone but just cannot be active near as much I used to be. If you are interested in moderating, PM BigF350.

Maholo nui loa,

Ken Stroupe

Hate to see you go, Ken...as with some of the "older" folks. You'll be missed!

I was just reading the archives the other day and noticed some of you guys that started FTE...it was a trip to the old days.

I'd personally like too thank you for all your hard work here and priceless input...BS and all.

Chase that dream Monsta!

Too bad, I was going to bring up the subject of a FAQ - at least for the V10's years/power-changes, and other tidbits like are the pistons REALLY the same as the 5.4? And if so, or not, what years.

Ken, I'm glad you were here all this time.

Please, PLEASE don't offer the job to whoever winds up with the most on-line time in this forum I'm afraid I might be first in line...

Ken

I am a character on several different forum sites much like FTE, amateur radio, boats, airplanes, military

This site, and especially this V10 forum are my most enjoyable.

I will always appreciate your hard work and dedication to create it, moderate it, and join in on the fun when you did.

You sir, are a class act.

I wish you all the best as you pursue your dream to be a 50 MC copper.

Thanks for the times you edited my questionasble rants (Grin)

Monsta, I have to say I'm shocked and saddened that you're stepping down. But you're stepping down to pursue a life long dream. You've been an awesome Moderator. Take care and hopefully we'll see you on the boards every now and again.

Hate that you've not been around much and even moreso the fact that you're stepping down as a mod. But I'm SO HAPPY that you are getting to pursue your dreams!

Good luck with cop school and BE CAREFUL. Stop by as much as you can.

Think you can get them to let this be your new V10?

I'm not dying or anything fellas.

I'm still around but not as much. There is SOOO much that can be done with this forum and I feel so guilty for not being able to do it.

I would really like to hand it someone who has the passion for this engine as I do but with more computer time on his hands! It was a tough decision seeing as how this forum is ma baby! I spend more time in here than anywhere else on FTE.

I appreciate so much the kind words and support! Who ever invented the Internet (Al Gore?? ) and message boards is da bomb! Where else can you get this kinda feel goodness with folks you've never met face-to-face.
