Shudder While Towing
My 2001 F250 V10 shuddered for the first time while towing. It only happens when Im under a load going up a hill and reach the rpm level to shift back into OD. Any ideas? Thinking about a shift kit.

I am pretty sure you have a 4r100 tranny. Same one behind the diesels as well. I have heard very excellent things about BTS valve bodies, i.e. Brians Truck Shop. Everything I have heard is very positive, however, all transmissions in refernece where behind a 7.3L. Main difference would be with T/C and stall, everything else I think would be the same. Or you could put in a Transgo shift kit. I am very please with mine. Search 4r100 and transgo on ebay and you'll find a lot on there. Do you have an external tran temp gauge? cooler? if you tow often I would recommend them.
