Engine noise
I own a 92 Ford F-250 with an inline 300 .When you first start the truck there is a pecking noise but after awhile it quites down.I think its a sticky lifter .Is this something to worry about and what could I do to fix it.

What kind of oil filter are you using? The 300 is picky about the oil filter because it's mounted on its side. Cheaper filters like fram don't have an anti-drainback valve and will do this every time. It's really bad for the engine. You're basically running it without oil for a few seconds every time you start it up.
Get a motorcraft filter and the problem will likely go away entirely.
