rag joint photos needed

Could someone please post some photos of an installed rag joint from several different angles. I cannot find a picture anywhere that shows me how to reinstall it on my 72 f-100. Thanks.

Here's three more: 4=column shaft collar; 6=collar loosened so can pull wheel back; 6=exposed steering gear shaft.

Ragjoint "L" brackets

I am missing the two "L" shaped brackets that go on the rubber disk. Is there any place I can get just the two brackets?

Jor, Thanks for taking the time to post the pics

The pics and your explanation should help make this job a lot easier for most folks.

Our '69 F-100 Explorer is different though.

Ours does not have the upper pinch bolt that is closest to the firewall. Instead I have a sleeve like ring that has two set screws set 90 degrees apart.

We have removed all the bolts from the rag joint and both set screws from this collar. We have soaked everything in penetrating oil but so far .... no joy

I cannot pull the steering wheel up more than 1/8 of an inch before this collar ring stops it dead. I need more space to R&R the rag joint. Any suggestions ?

This is a 1969 Explorer with factory ps, pb and automatic trans.
That leaves very little room for mechanic hands LOL
