Idle Air Control Valve Question
I've recently changed plugs, wires, dist cap & rotor, and the fuel pressure regulator (PITA!) on my 300ci. I've also scrubbed out the throttle body and idle control piston assembly trying to improve the idling of my truck. But here's the problem. Now I'm having issues with the truck revving up to about 2500rpms at idle much like it was doing when the fuel pressure regulator went out. I've checked the vacuum lines and the regulator is working properly and I can control the idle fine if I remove the electronic solenoid/motor portion of the IAC valve and operate the piston manually. Does this mean I need to replace the IAC valve? I'm not getting a check engine light and that's what is throwing me off.
Anyone have any ideas on this? I had it running great until the fuel pressure regulator went out and I think I've run it sufficiently enough to burn out the fuel that would have been in the intake manifold. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Justin
